Bush on Obama

This will be a short diary.  But, I felt it deserves a diary.

The Republican Machine seems to have refocused on Senator over the past week.

They seem to believe that Obama as Nominee or VP is a definite now.

So, they will begin smearing him.

We must be prepared to defend him with reasoned debate, and to counter punch when necessary.

President G. W. Bush today, on Fox News Sunday said this about Senator Obama:  

"I certainly don't know what he believes in."

This is a dangerous statement for several reasons:

1- Bush is implying that Senator Obama's rousing oratory is meaningless and empty.  He is, thus, attacking the Senator on two fronts:

A- Bush is implying that Senator Obama's belief's are so vague, that they cannot be discerned from his speeches.

B- Bush is implying that Senator Obama is a blank slate.

This blank slate idea was put forth by Citizens United.  They are a fascist Republican group, who have already produce attack movies on Senator Clinton.

The so called "President" of this Orwellian named band of character assassins said this:

"Obama is a completely clean slate," said David Bossie, president of the group. "We will develop the image that we want the people to see. We’re doing the hard work of the research right now. The American people don’t know much about Obama, except that they like his speaking style."

If that doesn't scare you, then ask yourself this.  Why do so many people hate Hillary Clinton?  Is it because she is evil, or is it because she has been attacked by the same troop of Nazis since 1992?

Remember that disagreeing with Senator Clinton, and hating her passionately are two remarkably different things.

Well, here's what Citizens United has done for Hillary:

If the Obama movie is anything like the one about Mrs. Clinton, Mr. Obama had better prepare himself. "Hillary, the Movie," and promotional ads for it, present statements from Dick Morris, Ann Coulter, Robert Novak, Jeff Gerth (a former New York Times reporter), Newt Gingrich and others in which she is called everything from a liar, to a European socialist to being more devious than Richard Nixon.

On Senator Obama, we're already seeing that large swaths of white voters in the Democratic Party simply do not vote for him.

In Louisiana last night he averaged about 30% of the white vote.  See Data Here

If he's performing that poorly with White Democratic Voters, then he will need our help.  Whether he is VP, Nominee, or simply dropping out and going back to the Senate, Senator Obama deserves our help.

Citizen's United is planning on spending $1 Million on this movie

Keep an eye out for the Republican Machine.  Note it here.  Then this whole community can come to Senator Obama's defense.

UPDATE:

1- Some of you have questioned Senator Obama's ability to carry white voters by pointing to states other than Louisiana.  My point is that in a Primary people who are more dedicated, tend to vote.  If he's having trouble with dedicated white democrats, it will be easier to attack Senator Obama in the GE, especially since the audience doesn't know him as well.  We need to prevent and/or stop that.

2- Here's another link to an article about group's planning to target the war's opposition.  The group called Freedom Watch, another Orwellian name, is planning on spending $250 Million this year alone to smear the war's opposition.
